I walked into my bedroom. I reached into my jellybean jar. There was nothing in it. It was completely empty. What a surprise! My grandmother gave me that jar on my 8th birthday. My absolute favorite gift and candy. It had exactly 730 Jelly beans. I wanted a double-digit age so she gave it to me to help count days. I ate 1 bean a day and I only had 28 jelly beans left, and today would be 27. I flinched in suspicion. I went into the hall and turned to my little brother’s room.
“Jonah!” I called. He walked into my room, smiling.
