We were just about to start baseball practice. Everybody was talking to each other and hanging out.
“Bring it in!” Our coach yelled. We all started stretching.
“Three laps around the field!” There was a big groan. We ran around the 270 feet by 240 feet field two times and we were all dying. It was 87 degrees and it wasn’t getting any cooler. 25 minutes later we partnered up and went to the bucket to get a ball.
“It’s empty. What a surprise!” Our coach said, “Who forgot to bring baseballs?” Then we all had to hop the fence and search for baseballs.
Interesting story and great use of the prompt. Well done! Nice use of description to make feel the heat too.
